Ayurvedic Medicine

In ayurveda shilajit is used as a medicine to improve the immune system and in libido, also for blood toxicity and to improve digestion. Shilajit sanskrit meaning is conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness.Indian yogis considered it as God’s gift and a nectar of longevity.

Shilajit is anti inflammatory, anti ageing, aphrodisiac, and digestive. It is also used to suppress arthritis, anemia, oedema, asthma, bronchitis etc

Over use of shilajit can cause increase in the level of uric acid in the blood and can result in gout. These are caused by the heavy metal content and poor purification methods. So it is important to find a trustworthy source before you buy shilajit powder.

Shilajit powder is a blackish brown exudation of varying consistency. It is found in himalayas, mountains of pakistan and tibet and extracted from steep rock foundations and cliff sides.

Daily dose of shilajit is 250-500 mg. (1-2 capsules)

Consult a doctor before you start taking shilajit. those who are pregnant, breast feeding babies should not take this.
