Hello sir,

There are many different terms for sacroiliac joint problems including SI joint dysfunction, SI joint syndrome, SI joint strain, and SI joint inflammation with different causes.

SI joints have a cartilage layer covering the bone. The cartilage allows for some movement and acts as a shock absorber between the bones. When this cartilage is damaged or worn away the bones begin to rub on each other, and degenerative arthritis (osteoarthritis) occurs. This is the most common cause of SI joint dysfunction. Degenerative arthritis occurs commonly in the SI joints just like other weight bearing joints of the body.

So overall, if you get treated for the degenerative arthritis with the help of alternative therapies, the problem may get resolved.

Along with your regular allopathy medications, you can follow some tips stated over here.

Avoid hot and spicy food and other foodstuffs that can aggravate bodily gas like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, okra, potatoes etc. These food items may cause aggravation of Vata in body.

Herbs and spices to use in the Ayurvedic cure for arthritis such as cumin, ginger, asafetida, fennel, coriander, fennel, turmeric, garlic etc are useful. These can be used in cooking food preparations.

Regular intake of orange juice or other vitamin C based beverage, as the goodness of the vitamins helps combat skeletal pain.

Yoga and pranayama:Supta padangusthasana,Utthita parsvakonasana,Ardha chandrasana,Bharadvajasana,Ba sarvangasana,Setubandha sarvangasana,Savasana,Adhomukha svanasana.

These asanas to be practiced under strict supervision.

Basic anuloma-viloma pranayama can be done regularly.

Suggested medications:Divya Pidantak Kvath,Rumalaya Forte,Package medicine for Joint pain, these medicines are helpful for your condition.

In order to reduce this degenerative conditions, the above stated medicines are helpful. Consult an ayurvedic doctor before taking medicines.

with regards,Dr.Vijay.
