As your TSH levels are still high, you have to continue with your thyroid medications. The dosage in each person will vary and will depend on the T3, T4 and TSH levels. Some times the dosage may have to be increased to normalise your TSH. You must have your TSH below 4mU/L which is the normal level. Weight gain and irregular periods are a common problems with hypothyroidism.

Hypothyroidism indicates that your body metabolism is impaired . Since you are severely hypothyroid you have to take allopathy medications to bring it in normal range . You can spice up your diet little bit with pepper and other spices if you do not have any gastritis problem . Include horse gram , sesame seeds , sesame oil, green gram , amla , pomegranate in diet .You need to maintain an optimum weight by following regular exercise or you can practice Suryanamaskara . Avoid day sleep , excess sweet in diet . Your periods will become regular once the thyroid dysfunction is corrected . You can take Ayurvedic medicines along with Allopathy medicines for better results . You can take the following medicines internally .

1)Divya Kanchanara Guggulu 2-0-2 twice daily after food .

2) Panchakola Churna : 10 g with warm water twice daily 15 min after food .

3) Varanady Kwadha : 20 ml + 40 ml luke warm water twice daily 1 hour before food .
