Hi sir/madam I'm Priti Iam 20 yrs old and I wear specs my left eye power is -1 and my right eye power is -2.30 i can't see far things without specs.Sir/madam can I use isotine eye drops to improve vision.i want to get rid of my specs.There will be no side effects of isotine eye drops Na... Please suggest me a medical treatment for improving my vision....

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Hello, Myopia or short/near sightedness is a refractive error usually in young age . The error causes blurring of things placed far due to curvature change of refracting surface of eye which is to be corrected by use of concave lens as spectacles. Associated symptoms are watering in eyes, itching sensation and burning sensation caused because of over stressed eye muscles stress to accumulate and focus on far placed objects. Ayurvedic medicines recommended to strength muscles for 3 months are as follows (It is advisable to not discontinue the use of spectacles while treatment)- 1.Saptamrit lauh - one tablespoon with luke warm milk twice a day after meals if nervous debility is the main reason. 2.Maha triphal ghrita- one tablespoon with luke warm milk twice a day in case of progressive myopia. 3.Triphala churan-1 tablespoon with luke warm water at bedtime. Tradak kriya should be practiced. Tarpan kriya with ashwagandha kwath or oil should be administered to nourish eyes.

Medicine like Divya MahaTriphala Ghrit can also be taken along with the external application. Include tomatoes, black currants, carrots, spinach, pumpkin, broccoli, capsicum, gooseberry, curryleaf, red peppers and mangoes. Reduce excess canned foods, spicy foods, oil, sugar and salt. Eye exercises like closing and opening the eyes, looking far and near objects, rotating the eyeballs and palming can be practised everyday. It will help to improve the vision and will be beneficial to reduce the power of the eyes. Please do have regular checkups.
