I have been using UVB light therapy at a clinic. This does help bring back the colour, treatment needs to be on a regular basis, even after colour returns treatment needs to be maintained. This treatment is also used for psorosis. Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition in which there will be depigmentation as patches. It sometimes follows a family history and is also seen without a family history. Ayurvedic medicines are advised to change the depigmentation and will control the further spread of the patches. Please do have regular reviews with your treating physician.

Ayurvedic medicines like Mahatiktaka kwath - 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily, Divya Bavchi churnam and Pigmento tablets - one tablet after food twice daily can be taken for 3months and review.

Keeping the weight under control will be beneficial. Exercising everyday, eating healthy foods, sleeping well and less stress helps for a better health and control of vitiligo.

Hello,

Vililigo is an autoimmune condition where the pigment producing cells in the body called melanocytes are destroyed leading to formation of white patches on different areas of the body. Sometimes it is seen associated with other autoimmune diseases , Hyperthyroidism and hence check your TSH levels . In your case since it is the beginning stage further progress can be arrested by proper medications , diet and lifestyle . Excessive mental stress and strain is thought to be a triggering factor for vitiligo and so practice regular yoga and pranayama . Avoid late night sleep .Try to have a vegetarian diet as much as possible and use iron vessels and sesame oil for cooking . You can use Sesame oil for application on your lips and expose to sunlight for 10-15 minutes in the morning . Avoid cold and reheated food , refrigerated items, carbonated drinks , intake of curd , excess use of urad dal preparations ,excess sour and salty food . You can use the following medicines .1)Divya Bakuci Churna 15g with warm water twice daily before food .2)Somaraji Thaila for external application.
